  • Actor and BJP leader Roopa Ganguly was nominated to the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
  • Ganguly had unsuccessfully contested the West Bengal Assembly elections this year on a BJP ticket. She was nominated by President Pranab Mukherjee to the seat vacated by Navjot Singh Sidhu.
