Delhi police have arrested a senior lawyer for allegedly raping his colleague in his chamber in Saket Court, Delhi. A case was registered against the lawyer, PK Lal, who was, according to the complainant report, in an ‘inebriated condition’.
The 29-year-old complainant on Sunday, 15 July, told the police that she was raped by the senior lawyer in his chamber, which was in the same complex where she worked. On the same evening, the lawyer, who is in his 50s, was arrested by the Delhi police.
On the intervening night of 14-15 July, the victim called up the police and alleged that she was sexually assaulted by the senior lawyer. Her statement has been recorded and a medical examination has also been conducted.Romil Baaniya, Commissioner of Delhi Police
The chamber where the alleged incident took place has been sealed and the Forensic Science Laboratory and crime team has inspected it, the DCP added.
Meanwhile, the Saket Bar Association has suspended the membership of the accused, as reported by news website, Scroll.in

Kasana also added that the “victim lawyer gets all moral support as she is shaken and in shock still”.
