Prime Minister Narendra Modi is well known for his visits – both domestic and foreign. According to the data website Factly, 2017 has been a busy year for him.
The data, which has been sourced from Modi’s official website, depicts that the PM travelled to Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat the most in the year 2017. He visited these states as many as 21 times each.
The prime minister has made just one visit to Sikkim, Mizoram and Pondicherry while visiting Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland just twice in the past four years.
However, all the visits that Modi has made have not been official.
Interestingly, between the years 2014 and 2018, he has travelled to UP the most for both official and unofficial trips. The number of his official trips to UP stands at 25 while the number of his unofficial trips to the state stands at 24.
The prime minister has visited his bastion, Gujarat, 23 times on official visits. But he also made 10 unofficial visits to his state, taking the total to 33.
