Police on Friday, 8 February, apprehended four out of the six men accused of raping a 19-year-old woman in Bihar’s Kishanganj district, ANI reported.

The four men have been identified as Mohammad Kasim (32), Abdul Mannan (27), Kalua (28) and Ansar Alam (33). The remaining two men - Faiz Alam (30) and Takhseer Alam (30) - are said to be absconding, The Times of India reported.

The case came to light after an FIR was lodged by the survivor on 6 February, stating that she was raped by the six men in front of her father.

The incident took place on 4 February when the six accused allegedly forcibly entered their residence and took the woman and her father to the outskirts of the district. The accused then allegedly tied the father to a tree and raped the woman in front of him.

The incident occurred in the Kodhiwadi police station area.
