“The post-mortem report has ruled out any form of sexual violence since there were no injuries on the private parts. There appears to be no signs of struggle since there are no injury marks on the skin. The only visible wounds are on the hands and neck.”
N Kolanchi, Senior Superintendent of Police, Bulandshahr, to The Indian Express

According to the police, the head of victim may have been kept by the accused for a day. To solve the case, helplines numbers have been made available and missing persons complaints are being tallied, but no significant headway has been made as of yet.
