We Will Try to Bring Drug Kingpin Goswami to India: Thane Police

Mamta Kulkarni’s husband, Vicky Goswami has spent a 15-year-long-sentence for drug possession previously.

Thane Police Commissioner, Parambir Singh said the police would try and bring Vicky Goswami to India from Kenya, reports ANI.

Goswami, husband of Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni, was the kingpin of a drug operation that involved smuggling 20 tonnes of ephedrine into Mahrashtra, according to Thane Police.

While police probes Mamta Kulkarni’s potential involvement in the drug cartel, police says they are running search operations for at least four more accused.

We’ve so far seized over 20-tonne Ephedrine drug valued at over Rs 2000 crore.

Vicky Goswami had been earlier arrested by US officials in Kenya, 2014. However, currently he is out on bail.
