VIDEO: Coast Guard DIG Contradicts Govt On Pak Terror Boat Episode

“Blow the boat off…We don’t want to serve them biryani…”, Coast Guard DIG Loshali is heard saying in the video.

Directly contradicting the government’s position, a Deputy Inspector General of the Coast Guard said that it was the Coast Guard which blew up the Pakistani boat on the night of December 31, 2014. 

He is heard saying he was the one who ordered: “Blow the boat off…We don’t want to serve them biryani…”

The Indian Express has released a video of DIG Loshali’s speech.

Earlier today, DIG Loshali denied making these statements saying the paper had misquoted him. 

In the first week of January, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar had suggested the occupants of the boat were “suicidal” and had set it on fire.
