Two pastors were reportedly manhandled by some miscreants inside the premises of the Arulmigu Mutharamman Temple in Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari.
The pastors were allegedly handing out pamphlets, when they were caught hold of by the miscreants who smeared ash on their faces, reported ANI.
A video of the incident, that occurred on 22 April, has now gone viral on social media. According to ANI, the video shows the two pastors sitting on the floor of the temple while a man smears their faces with ash – all the while yelling "Bharat Mata ki Jai".
JG Raj from the Tamil Maiya Organisation told ANI:
We’ll resist the atrocities against the Christian community in Tamil Nadu, assault and attack on Christian preachers and threatening of Christian population by RSS and affiliated organisations by the strength of non-violence.
ANI reported that no case was filed over the incident as it was “settled mutually”.
