Pakistan will not open its airspace to Indian commercial flights until New Delhi removes its fighter jets from forward IAF bases, reported PTI. Pakistan Aviation Secretary Shah Rukh Nusrat, who is also the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, reportedly told a Pakistan Parliamentary committee that the ban would be in place till 26 July.

This is the fifth extension of the ban since it was first enforced.

Pakistan fully closed its airspace on 26 February after the Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter jets struck a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist training camp in Balakot, following the Pulwama terror attack in Kashmir.

A CAA official told PTI that the Pakistan government will review whether or not to open its space for Indian flights on 26 July.
