Former External Affairs Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader passed away on Tuesday, 6 August, of cardiac arrest. She was 67. She was admitted to All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Tuesday night, but all efforts to revive her went in vain. The news of her demise has sent ripples throughout the country, with many offering tributes to the veteran leader on Twitter.
