1. 24-Year-Old Student Shot Dead in Scuffle
A 24-year-old law student was shot dead, allegedly by a drunk biker, following an argument in Burari, New Delhi on 9 November. Police said the student, Ashish Bhardwaj, was with his friends when they got into an argument with the biker. “Ashish and his friends pulled the biker off his vehicle. He retaliated by firing at them, killing Ashish on the spot,” a police officer said.

2. 17-Year-Old Student Molested near Her Home in Mumbai
A 17-year-old was groped near her Andheri home on 9 November while she on an evening walk. It is the second such incident in the city this month, after a Russian nation was molested near her Borivli residence on 1 November.
The minor, an FYBA student, told the police that she felt someone was following her, but before she could act, the man molested her.

3. Man Held for Sexually Abusing 2 Teens
Panvel city police arrested Raibhan Sonune (35), a resident of Karanjade, after two girls aged 19 complained that he has been sexually exploiting them for eight months with false promises of making them lead actors in movies produced and directed by him.
Sonune has been booked under Section 376 (rape) and 34 (common intention) of IPC, while his wife has been booked as a co-accused. She has not yet been arrested.

4. Man Held for Killing Wife in Shalimar Bagh
A Delhi court has dismissed the anticipatory bail application of a woman who was allegedly in an extra-marital relationship with restaurateur Pankaj Mehra, accused of shooting dead his wife last month. The Delhi Police had served a notice to the woman a few days ago, asking her to join the investigation, following which she sought protection, through her bail plea, in the event of her arrest.
While hearing the anticipatory bail application, the court pointed out that unless there is a grave circumstance against a woman, protection should be given till the applicant is ready. However, in this case, the court said that protection cannot be given as there is an evidence of extra-marital affair, which may be one of the alleged causes for the “commission of murder”.

5. Youth Who Fled with Old Notes Last Year Immolates Himself
A 22-year-old Virar youth who had in November last year fled with old notes worth Rs 5 lakh given by a trader to exchange, on Friday, immolated himself outside the DYSP office in Vasai after being charged with molesting a woman in his building.
Vikas Jha allegedly poured kerosene on his body and set himself ablaze in the evening. On Thursday, the Virar police had filed a molestation case against Vikas after a woman from his building in Suram Park, Virar (east) approached the police.

6. BMC Employee Held for Woman's Suicide: Police
A cleaner employed with the BMC was arrested by the police on Thursday for allegedly driving his girlfriend to commit suicide, police said on Friday. The accused, Vijay Chandalia, had been in a relationship with Jyoti Khaple for the last one-year-and-a-half. The police said that Khaple, who worked as a maid servant and stayed at Wadar Chawl in Jogeshwari west, had been pressing Chandalia to marry her.

7. Woman Gang-Raped in Indore After Being Offered Lift in a Car
A 35-year-old married woman was allegedly raped here by three men after being offered lift in a car, police said today.
The incident took place on 30 October, when the woman was waiting for a bus at Teen Imli Square, they said.
An official of Kshipra police station said the victim has mentioned in the complaint when she was waiting for a bus, one of her acquaintances named Mahesh Gole offered to drop her home in his vehicle.
Since the victim knew Gole, she agreed to get into his car, the complaint said.
The officer said that besides Gole, his driver and one more man were also inside the car.

8. Man Gets Five Year Jail Term for Sexually Harassing Minor
A special court has sentenced a man to five-year imprisonment for sexually harassing a minor, based on the testimony of the victim and her nine-year old brother. The incident took place on 16 November, 2014 in Deonar area where both the victim and the accused resided. The victim, who was 12 at the time of the incident, was playing near her house when the accused approached her and gave her money to buy chocolate.
When the victim returned, the accused, who was in his 30s, took her into a room. He began sexually abusing her, when the victim’s brother saw them. He then rushed home and alerted his mother.

9. Rowdy Attacks Inspector with Machete, Shot At; 5 Arrested
A youth, who attacked a police inspector with a machete when the latter went to arrest him for vandalizing vehicles and attacking a rival, was shot at and injured in the leg in the wee hours of Thursday in south Bengaluru.
Five accomplices of the injured youth, Vishnu alias Boja, a resident of Nagasandra, south Benglauru, were arrested later. All the youths — Vishnu, Pramod, Siddaraju, Sushant, Mubaraq and Darshan — were between 19 years and 23 years. Vishnu and his associates allegedly went around Yediyur on three bikes on Wednesday night.
