A 36-year-old newscaster for a Telugu TV channel allegedly committed suicide late on Sunday, 1 April, by jumping from the fifth floor of her house in Hyderabad’s Moosapet, multiple reports said.
The police believe that Radhika Reddy was suffering from depression and they found a suicide note in her bag, which said “My brain is my enemy,” NDTV reported.
The Kukatpally Police Station Sub-Inspector Majid told news agency ANI that the V6 News anchor committed suicide shortly after coming back from work.
She died on the spot from head injury, leg fracture and multiple blunt injuries, ANI quoted Majid as saying.
The deceased divorced her husband six months ago and had been staying with her parents and a 14-year-old son.
A case has been registered in the matter and further probe is on.
