BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Saturday continued to target Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, asking him to come clean on how he got admission to IIT Kharagpur, from where he was awarded B Tech (Hons) degree.

In an RTI query, Swamy asked for Kejriwal’s admission details and All India Rank for JEE, and the insitution replied saying it did not have the details; however other details like course name, year of study and roll number were provided.

In IIT Kharagpur right from 1952 to 2005 there was a practice to fill in seats that fall vacant after some candidates leave the course. Those seats was filled in by candidates close to the managing board of the IIT. Kejriwal’s father worked with the Jindal Group in a top position. I wish to ask him to come clean on how he got admission in IIT Kharagpur. He (Kejriwal) often says he is not a product of privilege, but if that be the case, we wish to know on which basis did he get admission to IIT.
