Margao Blast Bought Narendra Dabholkar 4 More Years: CBI

The plan was finally executed on 20 August 2013, four years after Sanatan Sanstha activists intended.

  • CBI officials said that Sanatan Sanstha activists Virendra Tawde and Sarang Akolkar wanted to execute rationalist Narendra Dabholkar’s murder in 2009 but were unable to due to the death of two Sanatan Sanstha workers in the Margao bomb blast that took place in the same year.

  • The CBI, which is currently probing the Narendra Dabholkar case, said that the duo had to abandon the plan after the bomb that two Sanatan Sanstha workers were carrying to Margao went off prematurely.

  • Dabholkar was actually murdered on 20 August 2013 by two unidentified suspects, and the CBI has revealed that the two Sanatan Sanstha workers were present near the bridge where Dabholkar was shot down.
