Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar 'Ravan' has been slapped with the National Security Act (NSA) just a day after being granted bail, but before he had actually walked free.

According to a News18 report, Chandrashekhar has been booked under the NSA as per the District Magistrate. The NSA empowers the government to detain a person in order to prevent him from acting in any manner that can lead to a compromise of national security.

The Allahabad High Court on 2 November, Thursday, granted bail to Chandrashekhar, the chief of dalit outfit Bhim Army, who was arrested on 8 June in connection with Thakur-Dalit clash in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district.
