‘Bad Weather’ Dampens Rahul Gandhi’s Gujarat Campaign Plans

Rahul Gandhi will be in Gujarat from 5 to 8 December to campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections. In his last leg of campaigning before the first phase of polls in the BJP-ruled state, Gandhi will address various public meetings and rallies.

On Tuesday, 5 December, he visited Anjar, where he lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not talking about the “future of Gujarat”.

Gujarat Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on 9 and 14 December.

Cyclone Ockhi: Rahul's Campaign Plans Postponed

The Congress on Tuesday, 5 December, cancelled Rahul Gandhi’s events at Morbi and Surendranagar due to “bad weather conditions”.

His schedule for 6 December has also been suspended while the party scion’s events for 7 December have been shifted to 8 December.

Reports said that Cyclone Ockhi was likely to make a landfall on the Gujarat coast late on Tuesday night.

Rahul Gandhi “urged” party workers to provide help to “the needy”.

I was listening to Narendra Modi yesterday, 60 percent of his speech was about the Congress party. The elections are not about Congress or BJP but about the people of Gujarat. In his entire speech, he did not talk about the future of Gujarat.
