Radhe Maa, a self-proclaimed godwoman is in trouble after dowry harassment charges were filed against her. 32-year-old Niki Gupta whose in-laws are Radhe Maa’s followers, filed the charges. The godwoman has been given two floors in the Gupta family’s five-storey building in Mumbai’s Borivili.
An FIR has also been registered under section 498A for dowry harassment and section 420 for cheating.
Radhe Maa is no ordinary godwoman
In addition to the FIR filed by Nikki Gupta, Mumbai based lawyer, Falguni Brahmbhatt filed a written complaint against Radhe Maa at the Borivili Police station on charges of fraud, cheating, mental harassment and for holding salacious satsangs.
Brahmbhatt says that if the police does not register an FIR against Radhe Maa, she will file a writ petition in the Bombay High Court.
She wears designer clothes, expensive flashy jewelry, make up and carries a trishul with her. Her duplex house is fancier than a seven star hotel and she owns more than ten luxury cars. She has never spoken a word in public but has a massive following with hoardings all over Mumbai. One of her bhakts in London gifted her a bungalow in Leicester.

Satsangs: Radhe Maa Style
People have been saying all sorts of things so I went there to see for myself. She invites people late in the night, holds sleazy satsangs where she gets drunk and dances to Bollywood songs, she even allows her followers, men to kiss her, hug her carry her in their arms. All this vulgarity and obscenity in the name of religion in unacceptable.

From Sukhvinder Kaur to Radhe Maa
According to Brahmbhatt, Radhe Maa was born as Sukhvinder Kaur. She married a sweet shop owner in Punjab at the age of 17. She left her husband, moved to Mumbai and became Radhe Maa at the age of 23. She is 49 years old now and has a massive following.
Radhe Maa reportedly calls herself a ‘devi avtaar’, carries a ‘trishul’ and gives ‘darshans’ and distributes ‘langar’ in the top floor of her apartment complex. She wears a striking blood red lipstick and has been in the news after being spotted in a short dress.
