Phase IV: Polling for Lok Sabha Elections 2019
Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Sonali Bendre, Priyanka Chopra, Sachin Tendulkar, Aamir Khan, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das, Chairperson of Reliance Group Anil Ambani – sportspersons, industrialists, Bollywood stars made a beeline as 6 states of Mumbai voted in Phase 4. All of them tweeted, urging everyone to exercise their right to choose.
Mumbai was one of the 72 constituencies across nine states that voted in the fourth phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Until 5pm, 50.6% was clocked as voter turnout.

EC Directs FIR Against BJP’s Babul Supriyo over Asansol Violence
The Election Commission has directed West Bengal Police to register an FIR against Union Minister and BJP candidate from Asansol Babul Supriyo, for allegedly trespassing into a polling booth and threatening a polling agent and an officer.
Clashes broke out between Trinamool Congress workers and security personnel at a polling booth in Asansol in West Bengal during the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections.
Meanwhile, Asansol’s Trinamool Congress candidate Moon Moon Sen had an amusing response to the entire incident. “They gave me my bed tea very late so I woke up very late. What can I say? I really don't know."

People Told Me I’m Too Old, Get Married: Gomathi After 800m Gold
That perfect finish in last 300 metres of the race where Gomathi Marimuthu sped to grab a gold will go down in history. Gomathi made India proud by winning a gold at the 800 m race at the Asian Athletics Championships in Doha.
Hailing from a poor family from a village in Trichy in Tamil Nadu, Gomathi is the youngest of three siblings.

Cyclonic Storm Fani Expected to Become ‘Very Severe’ by 30 April
Alert has been issued by the Indian Meteorological Department for the next 4 days, as cyclonic Storm Fani, now 840 km east-southeast of Chennai, is moving towards Odisha Coast. Light to moderate rainfall in North coastal Tamil Nadu, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Puducherry. Odisha would face most of the cyclone's force.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to officials to take preventive measures and be prepared to provide all possible assistance, working closely with the state governments. Fishermen have been asked not to venture into the sea.
