1. Two women commit suicide

In Bengaluru, a housewife jumped to death from the fourth floor of her apartment in Chikkathoguru in Electronics City and another ended her life by hanging from a tree in Maruthi Nagar in Madiwala.

2. Woman’s murder: son detained on suspicion

In Vishakapatnam, a mechanical engineer of a private company was detained by the police on the suspicion of his involvement in the brutal murder of his mother.

The decomposed body of L. Jayalakshmi, 46, a widow, who was allegedly throttled to death over a property dispute, was recovered from the storeroom of a house at Ashoknagar in Gajuiwaka area. The murder allegedly took place on March 20.

4. Truck driver killed, 1 injured in South Delhi

A truck driver was killed, while another injured in South Delhi’s Defence Colony area after the latter dozed off while driving and crashed into another truck on Sunday morning. Police have arrested the accused driver.

5. Woman held for abduction is serial honey-trap cheat

A 50-year-old woman along with three people have been arrested for the abduction of a retired bank official in Tambaram, Chennai. She allegedly targeted men through matrimonial advertisements.

Investigators said police arrested Reka Savithri alias Vaishnavi, of Ayyapanthangal, for abducting 62-year-old Ramamurthy after he advertised in a newspaper for a bride.
