1. CBI Calls Karunanidhi’s Private Secretary for Voice Test After New Records Found
DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s private secretary Shanmuganathan on Tuesday claimed to have received a phone call from the CBI to appear before it in connection with new audio tapes related to 2G spectrum scam.

2. Bail for Biker Accused of Harassing Delhi University Student at Traffic Signal
The biker accused of harassing DU student Jasleen Kaur was granted bail. He hit back at the girl alleging that the whole complaint was just a ‘publicity’ stunt.
The accused can come with a fresh complaint which will be subjected to unbiased investigation. Probe of the present case is also underway. We are monitoring CCTV grabs and collecting more evidences.

3. Suspected Human Trafficking Victim Rescued by Delhi Police
A 16-year-old girl, victim of a suspected human trafficking racket, was rescued by a police team after a three-hour-long operation from south-west Delhi’s Tughlaqabad Extension area, police said on Monday.
The accused, identified as Sunil Kumar (28), had allegedly confined the minor girl in a room at Delhi’s Tughlaqabad Extension area and was trying to sell her off to maid agencies in Delhi, said DCP (Southeast) Mandeep Singh Randhawa.
The victim is a native of Baghdogra in West Bengal and was accompanied by a youth – suspected minor – under the pretext of getting her a job.

4. Auto Driver Held for Stabbing Inspector
An autorickshaw driver was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly stabbing a police constable who intervened in a brawl between him and another person in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.
Police said the constable Murugan (35) tried to pacify and separate the two when the driver, Saravanan, allegedly stabbed him with a broken beer bottle.
Police registered a case and arrested him.

5. Delhi Woman Raped, Rapists Try to Push Her in Flesh Trade
A 30-year-old woman from East Delhi was raped by two men in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh after being abducted by a human trafficking gang on the pretext of job, police said on Tuesday.
The gang leader, along with her husband and brother-in- law, took the victim to Ghaziabad early this month on the pretext of job. At one point she was offered soft drink laced with sedatives, following which she fell unconscious.

6. Businessman Shot by Three Masked Gunmen
Trader Vijay Goel was allegedly shot by three masked assailants on bikes while he was inside his shop in Nehru Nagar-II area in Delhi, police said.
SHO Sihani Gate Upendra Yadav said that businessman Vijay Goel, who is in his late thirties, was sitting in his shop when the three youths came and fired on him at around 10 AM.

7. HC Directs Police to Probe Complaint of Irregularities in Supplying Goods to Temple
The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court directed the Rameswaram Police to investigate into the complaint of irregularities in supplying goods to the Ramanathaswamy temple on the island.
The petitioner, Subramanian, the Anna trade union secretary and a store owner, found that only Rs 3.6 lakh worth of goods were used whereas Rs 6 lakh worth of goods were sent by the trader.

8. Auto Driver Held for Trying to Rape Pregnant Woman
A 22-year-old autorickshaw driver was arrested for alleged robbery and attempted rape of a 30-year-old pregnant homemaker near Padmanabhanagar, south Bengaluru, on Monday afternoon.
I told him to go back to the main road and take the regular route. Instead, he parked the auto behind a sand-laden truck, pulled out a knife and asked me to remove my clothes.

When the survivor resisted, Anand Kumar Gowda, a resident of Hosa Badavane, hit her head with a stone, stole her wallet, cell phone and a silver chain and tired to rape her at knife-point, police said.

9. Kidnapped College Girl Rescued in Faridabad
An 18-year-old college student from Delhi was allegedly kidnapped from South Delhi’s Badarpur metro station area by two men and found on Wednesday.
The accused identified as – Anurag Mehra and Vipul Chopra – were arrested by the police.
The victim agreed to discuss something with the accused when they approached the girl and her friend at the station. The girl then sat in the car, after which they sped off towards Faridabad without her friend.
The police tracked her phone and found her in a room in Faridabad, injured after being hit with a screw-driver.
