1. Motihari's Most Wanted Nabbed by Gurgaon Police
The crime branch of Gurgaon police arrested a 25-year-old man, who was on ‘Motihari’s most wanted’ gangsters’ list, on Saturday night.
The police identified the gangster as Ram Singh, a resident of Chakia, in Bihar’s Motihari district. It is located 150km from state capital Patna.
According to the police, Ram has several cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, and ransom registered against him.
“After committing a crime, Ram used to lie low in Delhi/NCR for some time before returning to his native Bihar. Once things calmed down, he would return to commit his next crime. We are verifying if he was involved in other cases in this region as well,” Ravinder Kumar, public relations officer, Gurgaon police, said.

2. Three Held Guilty in Kopardi Rape and Murder Case
A sessions court on Saturday convicted three men in the 2016 case of rape and murder of a 15-year-old girl in Kopardi village, which had triggered a huge public outcry and massive protests, especially from the Maratha community, across the state.
The verdict was delivered by Ahmednagar District and Sessions Judge Suvarna Keole under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. The quantum of punishment for the convicts will be argued and decided on 21 November by the same court.
The incident took place on 13 July 2016, when a 15-year-old schoolgirl was brutally raped, mutilated and killed, sparking off a major casteist and political furore in Maharashtra. The Class IX student, who belonged to the Maratha community, was out to fetch some spices from her grandmother’s home in the same village when she was attacked.

3. Man Held for Raping Journalist
A journalist has alleged that her colleague sexually assaulted her at a hotel room in central Delhi. Police said they registered a case and arrested the accused on Friday night.
Talking to TOI, the woman said that she got a friend request from the man in 2015, which she accepted. They began talking and met a couple of times earlier. A few months later, he told her about his failing business and asked her to help him find a job.

4. Businessman Booked for Rape, Causing Miscarriage
A small-time builder in the neighbouring Palghar district allegedly raped a 37-year-old married woman and beat her up when she was pregnant, resulting in miscarriage of the foetus, police said. The 35-year-old builder and the survivor resided in the same locality in Nalasopara, said police.
As per the complaint lodged by the woman with the Palghar police on 17 November, the man allegedly raped her on several occasions in the last three years and also indulged in unnatural sex with her. No arrest has been made so far and the probe was on.

5. 50-Year-Old Woman Gagged and Raped in Chhindwara District
In a shocking incident, a 50-year-old woman was gagged and raped in Chhindwara district. A youth gagged the woman by shoving stones in her mouth before outraging her modesty. The accused also inflicted injuries in her private parts after raping her. The survivor has been admitted at the district hospital. The incident took place at a village under Parasia police station of the district in the night of 16 November.
The survivor was working in her farm when 25-year-old Sukhdas Bhalavi, who called the woman his grandmother, approached her and asked her to accompany her to the house, said police. "They are both residents of the same village and the accused used to call her 'naani' (maternal grandmother). When they reached a deserted place, Sukhdas caught her and started sexually assaulting her. When the survivor tried to shout, he put some stones that were lying nearby in her mouth and then raped her.

6. NIA Registers FIR in Kanpur Principal's Murder Case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday registered an FIR into the murder of a retired Kanpur school principal last year. The state government had recommended the NIA probe after it emerged that Ramesh Chandra Shukla may have been killed by four accused in the Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train blast case.
IG (NIA) Alok Mittal confirmed the registration of the FIR at the agency’s Lucknow branch and said the train blast accused had admitted to their involvement in the murder. Shukla was shot dead in Kanpur in October 2016 while returning home on a bicycle.

7. Delhi: After Viral Video, Robbery Case Against 2 Men
After a video showing two men robbing a youth in Rajender Nagar went viral, Delhi Police on Sunday said they have registered a case of armed robbery at Rajinder Nagar police station after convincing the victim to take action in the matter.
The youth, who did not wish to be identified, had just withdrawn cash from an ATM when four men on two bikes came, snatched his gold chain and cash at gunpoint. Although police are yet to make any breakthrough, they claimed that going by the modus operandi they believe that a UP-based gang was behind the robbery.

8. Five Drunken Youths Harass IndiGo Air Hostess
Five drunken men allegedly harassed an air hostess at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Saturday.
She rushed to the nearest traffic police booth at the arrivals terminal and sought their help. “Two traffic police on duty at the pre-paid taxi section rushed after the air hostess to nab the eve-teasers and handed them over to RGIA police outpost,” the source said.
