1. Four Men Abduct Dalit Girl and Gang-Rape Her in UP
A Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped by four men after two of them abducted her from her house after gagging and tying her grandmother to a cot, police said today.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred when the 14-year-girl was sleeping with her grandmother in her home at Sankror village in Lakhnauti last night.

2. Boy’s Face Slashed with Blade for Refusing to Buy Cigarette
An unidentified youth slashed a minor boy’s face with a blade after the latter refused to bring him a cigarette from a nearby shop in southeast Delhi’s Ambedkar Nagar area.
The incident took place last night when 16-year-old Rajesh, who lives with his family in Madangir area, was returning home from somewhere.

3. One killed, Another Injured in Police Encounter in Haryana
An alleged robber was shot dead and another was injured in an encounter with Haryana police team at Banipur Chowk here on Delhi-Jaipur highway, a senior official said today.
Karar of Dhulawat village of Mewat district was killed in the incident while Shaheen of Fakarpur Khori village of Mewat district was injured in the yesterday night’s encounter, Police Superintendent Manbir Singh said.
The third miscreant, identified as Irfan of Dhulawat village of Mewat district, was arrested by police whereas some other miscreants managed to escape under cover of darkness, he said.

4. Manipuri Youth Thrashed in Delhi, 3 Arrested
A civil services aspirant from Manipur landed in hospital with a broken skull and injured limbs for trying to teach a man civic rules. The youth was racially abused, chased and beaten with a wooden stick by three men near his house in north Delhi’s Burari when he protested against a man for spitting on him.
In his complaint, the victim Brilliant Horam (27) said that he had gone to a stationary shop at the Bengali Colony market in Sant Nagar around 6pm. While he was walking, a youth rinsing his mouth spat on his foot. When Horam protested, instead of apologizing, the youth hurled abuses at him.

5. TDP MLA Caught Offering Rs 50-Lakh Bribe
In a major embarrassment to N Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Sunday trapped its MLA Revanth Reddy for trying to give a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson “to vote in favour of a TDP nominee” in Telangana Legislative Council elections scheduled on Monday.

6. Assam Trader’s Body Found
The body of a cashewnut trader, with a gunshot wound on his head, was recovered in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills this afternoon, igniting tension in neighbouring Mancachar in Assam’s Dhubri district where the trader lived.
Sources in Mancachar said the 55-year-old trader and his 11-year-old grandson had gone to the cashew wholesale market in Ampati, the district headquarters of South West Garo Hills, to buy cashewnut a couple of days ago but they were reportedly abducted by suspected GNLA militants on their way back to Mancachar yesterday.
