1. Young Woman Raped in Moving Bus in Bengaluru
A 19-year-old woman employee of a private hospital was allegedly raped in a moving minibus by the driver on Thursday morning in Bengaluru. He asked the cleaner to take over the wheels while he brutlaised her.
Both men have been arrested. The was not the first time that the victim had encountered the bus driver.

2. CBI to Seek Longer Jail Term for Raju, Others
The Central Bureau of Investigation is planning to seek an enhanced prison term for Satyam’s disgraced chairman B Ramalinga Raju given the magnitude of the crime and the serious consequences it had on the industry.
The agency will file an appeal in the Metropolitan Sessions Court in Hyderabad early next week.

3. Uphaar Case: CBI Seeks Review of Verdict Which Spared Ansals Jail
The CBI has moved the Supreme Court, seeking a review of the court’s verdict of August 20 in the case pertaining to the Uphaar cinema fire that had claimed 60 victims 18 years ago.
The top court ruled that the Ansal brothers (accused) need not serve any more time in jail.

The fourth accused in the suspicious death of daughter-in-law of former MP Siricilla Rajaiah is yet to be found. Sana maintained a close relationship with S Anil Kumar, husband of the deceased.

A highly inebriated girl in Mumbai identifying herself as Pinki Misra was caught on camera abusing cops outside a police station. In the video, the police can be heard politely and repeatedly asking the girl about her whereabouts despite her rudeness.

After being denied biryani at an eatery, a Bengaluru man, under the influence of alcohol, stabbed the owner on Wednesday night.
The condition of the victim is critical and he is currently undergoing treatment. The accused has been arrested.

8. Watch Video: Chain Snatcher Nabbed After 45-Minute Chase in Mumbai
Two youngsters in Mumbai helped a 65-year-old lady nab a chain snatcher after a 45-minute chase through narrow chawl lanes and thick bushes.
The miscreant had snatched a gold chain from the senior citizen who was out on her morning walk. The accused has been arrested.

9. Gang Stabs 40-Year-Old Man in Chennai
A three-member gang stabbed a 40-year-old man in Chennai on Friday morning.
The man, a pavement dweller, sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Police said they are yet to establish the motive for the attack.
