1. 13-Year-Old Boy Brutally Murdered in Kaithal Village

In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old boy was brutally murdered by his elder friend in Pai village of Kaithal district, Haryana on Sunday afternoon. Rohit, the victim was spotted tied to a cot at the accused’s house, with blood gushing out of his wounds.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused identified Bittu, who is believed to be 18-years-old, was a good friend of Rohit and the two used to work and play together.

On Sunday afternoon Bittu had called Rohit to his house. He is learned to have tied his hands to a cot and attacked him with a sharp edged weapon, slitting his throat. He turned on the music on full volume so that nobody could hear Rohit's screams.

2. Cop Shot Dead in Jhajjar, 20 Booked

Police have booked a total of 20 people in connection with the killing of Rajender Singh, a Delhi police constable, who was gunned down by unidentified people at his native Dadri Toa village on Saturday.

Old enmity is stated to be the reason behind the murder. No arrests have been made so far. Sources said the assailants fired indiscriminately killing Rajender on the spot.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajeev along with police personnel reached the spot.

The body was handed over to the family of the deceased after postmortem examination.

3. Stray Bullet Kills 18-Year-Old Amid Clash Over Land in Lucknow

An 18-year-old boy was killed after a stray bullet hit him during firing between two groups in City Kotwali area in Shamli district on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the groups clashed over a land dispute. While seven people have been booked for murder, one of them, Sonu, was arrested on Sunday. Police claimed Sonu had fired with a country-made pistol during the clash and the bullet hit Firoz, a labourer.

City Kotwali Station House Officer Kuldeep Singh said the clash was the result of a dispute over possession of a house between residents of Karmu Kheri village Rafikan and Jiju.

4. 25-Year-Old Held for Stealing Phones in Mumbai, Selling Them in Bangkok

The Mumbai crime branch arrested a 25-year-old for allegedly stealing mobile phones from local trains and selling them in Thailand.

According to police, the accused, Noorulla Ehesanulla Khan, lives with his parents, wife and a son in Agripada.

We received a tip-off that a man will pick up a consignment of stolen phones from Maratha Mandir fly abroad the same night with it. We then laid a trap and caught him. During the investigation, the accused confessed to the crime.

Khan ran a gang of mobile thieves and also had tie-ups with other gangs, which gave him 40 percent share of the loot.

5. Rs 82 Lakh Stolen from Bank in Rewari

Thieves struck at a branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB) in Khera Aalampur village in Haryana on Sunday night and took away Rs 82.46 lakh. They damaged the CCTV cameras before committing the crime.

A case has been registered against the unidentified persons. Sources said of the total money stolen, Rs 81.46 lakh consisted of 500 and 1,000 rupee notes.

Kosli Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar said efforts were on to identify burglars.

6. Stalker Beats Girl's Father to Death, Not Booked for Murder in Navi Mumbai

A 25-year-old mechanical engineer from Raigad was arrested almost a week after he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend’s 53-year-old father, who succumbed to his injuries on Friday. However, the engineer has not been booked for murder for the incident that took place in Poynad town on 14 November.

The accused – Avishek Bhattacharya – worked in Libya till two months ago but he had been stalking victim Sadashiv Kanchan’s daughter online for the past one-and-a-half years, before which they had called off their relationship.

On returning to India, he began following her to college and harassing her.

7. Rs 93 Lakh in Unaccounted Cash Seized in Jharkhand

A police team on Sunday seized Rs 93 lakh in cash in three raids, including one on a postal department clerk's house, in Jharkhand's Dumka district, police officials said.

The officials said the raids were conducted at three places in the district.

Police seized Rs 45 lakh from the house of Vinay Kumar Sigh, posted as clerk in Dumka Post Office, a senior officer confirmed.

8. Woman Fights Back Molester in Moving Train in Delhi

A 32-year-old woman was allegedly robbed by a group of three men, one of whom allegedly attempted to rape her in a moving train in Delhi on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the woman was travelling from Bihar to Shahdara in the Jan Nayak Express that goes from Darbhanga to Amritsar. It was diverted to this route due to a fault in a railway line.

Two policemen patrolling the area near the railway bridge in Shahdara heard the woman scream and got onto the train that was moving slowly. One of them, Shahbaz, was arrested from the spot and the woman was taken to the hospital for examination, additional DCP (New Delhi) Kumar Gyanesh said.

9. Man Kills Wife on Suspicion of Illicit Affairs

A man brutally murdered his wife, who he suspected of having extramarital affairs, by stabbing her nearly three dozen times with a knife, in a hotel in West Bengal's Howrah district, police said on Sunday.

The incident took place in Garchumuk in Howrah on Saturday afternoon.

Gautam Mahato, 30, checked into Geetanjali lodge at Garchumuk with his wife Anita Mahato on Friday afternoon. He brutally killed Anita on Saturday afternoon by stabbing her 32 times as he suspected her of having extra-marital relationships.
