1. Yogi Adityanath Takes Charge of Uttar Pradesh, Promises 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'
Yogi Adityanath was sworn in as the head of the Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday, a day after he was picked by his party as Chief Minister of the state at a meeting in Lucknow.
Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma were also sworn-in as the deputy chief ministers in a Cabinet which will have 23 other ministers.
The ceremony took place at Smriti Upvan in Lucknow and was attended by a large number of state and national politicians including former chief minister of UP Akhilesh Yadav, chief minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal and chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu. Veteran BJP leader LK Advani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were also present at the event.

2. Jats Call off Stir; Border Points, Central Delhi on Alert
Monday is likely to be a near-normal working day in the capital after Jat protesters called off their plan to lay siege to Parliament, following a truce reached after a marathon meeting between community leaders and the Haryana government on Sunday.
However, commuters to central Delhi may face jams. While the travel ban in Lutyens' Delhi has been lifted, vehicles entering the area would be subjected to security checks, police said.
This may cause snarls around India Gate, Parliament Street and Lok Kalyan Marg, the traffic police warned.

3. Manipur Blockade Lifted After Deal With UNC Leaders
The four-month economic blockade in Manipur, imposed by the United Naga Council (UNC), was lifted on Sunday midnight, following talks with the Union and the state governments.
The UNC had imposed the blockade in protest against the creation of seven new districts by the then Congress-led government “as it was in contravention to Greater Nagalim” envisaged by the group.
“Tripartite talks succeeded in addressing the issues and the UNC has agreed to lift the economic blockade. The government of Manipur took note of the grievances of the UNC, including that of them not being consulted while creating the new districts. The UNC has to now frame what exactly their point of view is. Initially they had asked for non- bifurcation of Senapati and Jiribam districts. They will have to clear their stand about the entire seven districts. Manipur government will consider whatever changes they want,” said Satyendra Garg, Joint Secretary in the Home Ministry, who signed the tripartite agreement on behalf of the Centre.

4. Former Rajya Sabha MP Pyarimohan Mohapatra Passes Away
Former Rajya Sabha MP and president of Odisha Janamorcha party Pyari Mohan Mohapatra passed away on Sunday in Mumbai after a prolonged illness. He was 77.
Mohapatra, who was also called ‘Chankya of Odisha politics’, passed away at 9:48 pm at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai.
Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has mourned the death of the former MP, who was regarded as Patnaik’s chief strategist and mentor.

5. Facebook Helped Crack Irish Woman’s Murder Case in Goa
Goa police have said that Facebook helped them get the first break in the case of the Irish woman’s rape and murder as the social networking site helped them identify the victim. “We have to say Facebook helped,” said police inspector Filomeno I Costa of Canacona Police station.
The case, which was cracked in two hours and 40 minutes, came to the police on the morning of 14 March.
A Facebook reference about a tattoo of three circles around the Irish’s girl’s right waist helped identify her.

6. Missing Nizamuddin Dargah Clerics Are Safe, to Come Back to Delhi
The two Indian clerics of Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, who went missing from Karachi, are safe and will be back in Delhi on Monday, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj confirmed.
“I just spoke to Syed Nazim Ali Nizami in Karachi. He told me that they are safe and will be back in Delhi tomorrow,” she tweeted.
The latest development comes a day after the Pakistan government conveyed to the the Indian High Commission in Islamabad that they have been “traced and have reached Karachi”.
Swaraj had earlier spoke to Pakistan PM’s adviser on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz regarding the issue and sought his help in tracing the two.

7. Grandfather Arrested For Sexually Abusing Minor In Kollam
The investigation into the death of a 10-year-old girl in Kerala’s Kollam district has revealed that she was sexually abused by her 66-year-old grandfather, police said on Sunday.
Police arrested the grandfather who had allegedly sexually abused the girl the past one year. She was found hanging in her home two months ago. Last week, the police started probing rape angle in the case. The post-mortem report had indicated she was raped three days before the suicide. A suicide note was also found.
Kollam rural SP S Surendran said the grandfather had sexually abused another girl in the same family. He would face a separate case for that alleged abuse. The mother and the victim were staying with the grandfather, while the girl’s father was estranged.

8. McD App 'Leaks' Info of 2.2 Million Users, Company Denies It
A burger can cost you a lot. Personal data of more than 2.2 million users has leaked from McDonald's India app, McDelivery, cyber security firm Fallible said.
The leaked data includes name, phone number, email addresses, home addresses, accurate home-coordinates and social profile links.
Cyber security experts said hackers could use the information to access financial details of users, including credit/debit card information and e-wallet details.
The compromised app and website of the US burger chain is operated by Westlife Development, which runs McDonald's operations in the south and west India.

9. CBI Officers Work Overtime to Prepare Preliminary Report for Narada Probe
A team of CBI officers on Sunday recorded the statements of several persons, including Naradanews.com CEO Mathew Samuel and those who had moved Calcutta high court seeking a CBI investigation into the Narada sting episode. The agency is supposed to submit them before the high court on Tuesday.
While the statement of Congress leader Amitabha Chakraborty, who along with two other had filed the case in the high court, was recorded at the CBI office, Samuel was sent a set of 12 questions via email, to which he promptly replied.
From Samuel’s residence in Delhi, CBI officers took in their possession the tools used for editing the footage.
