Modi Inaugurates ‘Parakram Parv’, Marks 2-Yrs of Surgical Strike

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, 28 September, inaugurated an exhibition - 'Parakram Parv’ - at the Combined Commanders' Conference in Jodhpur, marking the second anniversary of the surgical strikes carried by the Indian Army.

Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister also paid homage to the martyrs at the Konark war memorial, reported ANI.

The exhibition will continue for the general public for the following two days- on 29 and 30 September. A documentary on the surgical strike will also be screened in the exhibition for public, reported NDTV.

The Combined Commanders' Conference will be attended by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and the three services chiefs, besides several key military and civil officials of the Ministry of Defence.

PM Modi is expected to be briefed about the situation in the Kashmir valley and the Line of Actual Control along the border with China, reported The Economic Times.
