Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has said that there is intelligence to suggest that terrorist groups working to destabilise India are sponsored by the Pakistani state.
Prachanda, speaking to NewsX on the issue of Pakistan providing support to terrorists who use the porous Indo-Nepal border said:
I want to tackle such matters in a serious manner. India and Nepal have discussed in a serious way solutions to tackling these issues[of terror]. However, since these are sensitive matters I will not disclose any technical information about them.
However, on being pressed on Pakistan’s role, he said that the intelligence reports he has been privy to, do indicate that many terrorist groups working against India are indeed state-sponsored.

On Sunday, Prachanda who returned to Kathmandu after his visit revealed that his trip to India was successful and fruitful.
Speaking to reporters at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu upon arrival from India, he said the visit has created mutual trust and confidence in bilateral ties.
Our ties and partnership with India will not affect our bilateral ties with China... Dynamics of our relations with India and China are different, so our ties with India would not create distance with China.
