4, Including Seer, Injured in Nitrogen Balloon Blast Near Mysuru

A nitrogen balloon explosion injured at least four including the Suttur mutt seer, Shivaratri Deshikendra Swami and Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Marithibbegowda on Tuesday, 5 February, Deccan Herald reported.

The incident took place during the inaugural ceremony of a wrestling tournament, organised on the fifth day of the annual six-day Jathra Mahothsava, popularly known as Suttur Jathre or Suttur Fair, in Karnataka's Sutturu district. Sutturu district is 28 km away from Mysuru.

The injured were rushed to Primary Healthcare Centre in Sutturu.
