Things took a turn for the worse at a residential apartment in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala area last week after a city-based model got into a scuffle with a security guard, and later stripped in front of the police officials who were summoned to the spot.
Narrating her side of the incident, model Megha Sharma said the incident took place around 2:30 am when she asked her building’s security guard to buy her cigarettes. He refused saying he was on the desk and shared the number of a cigarette seller with Sharma.
Matters heated up when Sharma allegedly questioned the guard’s refusal. She claims the guard then got ‘aggressive’ with her.
“He said, ‘for a characterless girl like you who is roaming around in her night dress, I cannot buy cigarettes. We are not here to treat you like a princess.’ That’s when I lost my temper and slapped him. After that, we started fighting.”Megha Sharma to ANI

A CCTV footage recovered from the building, shows the altercation between Sharma and the security guard. The guard can be seen defending himself by pushing her away as Sharma attacks him. However, there is no audio to indicate the conversation that Sharma referred to.
Later in the video, other guards can be seen joining in to break up the fight.

When police reached the spot, Sharma refused to accompany them to the police station to file a complaint because they did not have a woman constable with them.
“I told them that it was 2:30 am and they didn’t have a lady constable along with them and that since I’m a girl, this is not the right time for me to go (to the police station). I told them that I will come tomorrow. I asked them to speak to my lawyer and I will come tomorrow and file a complaint. He said okay, but the other cops were asking me to come right away to file a complaint.”Megha Sharma to ANI
Matters then escalated rapidly, and Sharma is said to have stripped down to her underwear and shouting at the cops.
While police sources said the guard has submitted a written complained against Megha Sharma, there has been no FIR filed in the case yet.
