Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hosting a banquet dinner for Japanese PM Shinzo Abe in his constituency, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh (UP).

The Chief Minister of UP, Akhilesh Yadav, and Governor of UP, Ram Naik, are also present at the government-funded gala.

The “pure veg” menu, as pointed out by Ministry of External Affairs’ Spokesperson Vikas Swarup, is happening with cultural art performances.

Japanese PM Shinzo Abe Pays Respect to River Ganga

The Japanese Prime Minister, accompanied by Prime Minister Modi, is paying his respects to the river Ganga in Varanasi, PM Modi’s constituency.

Prime Minister Modi has visited Japan in August-September 2014. Besides the bilateral deals signed in India, the visit was similar to PM Abe’s visit to India.

Maruti cars, manufactured in Varanasi, will be exported to Japan, according to the joint statement issued by the two PMs.

Varanasi is PM Modi’s constituency. The two are expected to attend the Ganga Aarti at Dasaswamedh Ghat in Varanasi.
