From a wooden plough to an embroidered Gujarati pagadi (hat), over 1,900 gifts presented to PM Modi since he assumed office in 2014 will be up for grabs soon!
All these memorabilia of his, from his national and international visits, will be auctioned off in Delhi and the funds gathered from it will be utilised for the Namami Gange project, the government’s flagship mission for conservation of river Ganga.
This is the second such initiative being held under PM Modi, the first of which included his monogrammed suit – which fetched around Rs 4.3 crore.
The items to go under the hammer include paintings, shawls, hats, jackets, musical instruments, among others.
“The physical auction will be conducted on 27 and 28 January 2019 at National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi from 12 pm onward. The e-auction will take place subsequently from 29-30 January 2019 for remaining items left after physical auction.”Ministry of Culture
The price range of the items up for auction is from Rs 100 to Rs 30,000. There are multiple categories, like brass, ceramic, gold, glass, cloth and more, from which people can chose the items.
The items are currently on display at the National Gallery of Modern Art, which comes under the Ministry of Culture.

A statue of Gautam Buddha received from Shri Virendra Pratap Singh and Shri Sharad Vajpayee.

A traditional brass statue of a lion, received from former Prime Minister of Nepal Shri Sushil Koirala.
