The bodies of a young man and a woman were found hanging from a mango tree at Thana Nayagaon in Uttar Pradesh's Etah. The police observed that the two had nooses around their necks.
Their bodies are being sent for postmortem. Once it is conducted and more information is gathered, an investigation will be carried out, Etah Police said in a post on Twitter.
According to the police, the boy was about 22 or 23 years old and the girl was 20 years old.
“No relative of theirs has come forth yet. Whoever comes forth and whatever information they give, along with the findings from the postmortem, will be used to carry forward the investigation,” stated Sanjay Kumar, the Additional SP of Etah.
The girl is from a nearby village and the boy is from the Thana Shakeed area. The police told ANI that they do not have much information about the two yet.
