Internationally acclaimed sand artist, Sudarsan Pattnaik has created yet another joyous masterpiece. The man, the myth, the legend, a 45-feet Santa Claus was created using more than 1,000 tons of sand, 20 pairs of hands and took over 22-hours to make. The outcome which lies on Puri Beach, Odisha, is all one hopes to see, a skilfully made smiling Santa Claus with a message of ‘World Peace’ to go with him.
He tweeted a picture of what could hopefully be a world record.
Pattnaik’s art pieces range from religion to female infanticide, and international issues such as the Syrian refugee crisis and the tragic Chennai floods.
