26 Charred to Death in China as Tour Bus Catches Fire
A tour bus with 56 people on board caught fire in China's central Hunan province, killing 26 people and injuring 28 others.
The accident occurred on Friday when the 59-seater bus from the neighbouring Henan province suddenly caught fire on a highway in Hanshou county in Changde city.
The 28 injured were rushed to three local hospitals.
Five of the injured are in a critical condition, state-run Xinhua news agency quoted local officials as saying.

Woman Dies in Car Collision on Yamuna Expressway
A woman died and eight persons were injured when two cars collided on the Yamuna Express way. The incident occurred at around 9.30 am when one of the cars collided with the other while overtaking it, they said.
All the injured were admitted to Nayati hospital on the Agra-Mathura highway, police said. While the woman was declared brought dead by the doctors, four others were stated to be critical, Nayati hospital PRO said.

Notorious Criminal held in J&K's Rajouri
A notorious criminal was detained under the Public Safety Act in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Saturday.
A dossier of his detention was prepared by district police office Rajouri and submitted to the district magistrate.
The DM ordered his detention under public safety and a team from the Rajouri police station implemented the detention order Friday.
The accused, Haroon Rashid, has been lodged in Kot Bhalwal jail Jammu.

Two Dead After Landslide Hits Truck in JK's Doda
Two persons were killed when their truck was hit by a landslide in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. The truck was on its way from Thathri to Gandoh and the accident occurred at Piykul Kara, 37 km from here, Friday night, a police official told PTI.
He said the landslide hit the vehicle, burying alive two of its occupants - driver Shahzad Hussain (27) of Bhadarwah and conductor Arif Hussain (22) of Kishtwar district. While the driver's body was retrieved from the spot around 3 am, the other body was recovered around 7 am, the official said, adding that both the bodies were shifted to a trauma centre Thathri for completion of formalities.

Passenger Smuggling Gold From Dubai Nabbed at Delhi Airport
Customs Department nabbed one passenger in possession of 219 grams of smuggled gold at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. He had arrived from Dubai. The gold was hidden in silver coated gold plates & concealed in a cooker.
