1. Big Fight on the Cards Between Congress, TRS in LB Nagar

Lal Bahadur Nagar Assembly constituency, popularly known as L B Nagar, is one among the largest constituencies in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits, and the second largest in the Ranga Reddy district, only next to Serilingampally.

The constituency has electors from numerous colonies and more than 50 big or small slums in L B Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Kothapet, part of Dilsukhnagar, Hastinapuram, Karmanghat, Mansurabad, Champapet, Badangpet, part of Saroornagar, Nagole, and Hayathnagar.

A cross-section of electorate reveals sizeable number of people of Andhra origin, besides workers who migrated from Nalgonda.

2. Bala Sai Baba Dies of Cardiac Arrest

Controversial spiritual leader Bala Sai Baba died of cardiac arrest in Hyderabad on Tuesday, 27 November, and his untimely death came as shock to his devotees. He was 58.

On Monday night he was admitted to Viranchi hospital in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad following complaint of chest pain and he died while undergoing treatment on Tuesday morning. He was born to Kannanur Ramanandha Sastry and Jaya Lakshmamma in Kurnool district and given name was Balaraju. At the age of 18 years, he became a monk and established his ashram and got popular as Bala Sai Baba.

He has two ashrams, one at Kurnool and another at Hyderabad. He has followers across the country and abroad. Every year on Mahashivaratri, he used to bring out ‘Shivling’ from his mouth. However, Jana Vignana Vedika and atheists dismissed it as a sleight of hand.

3. Goshamahal Transgender Candidate Goes Missing

Chandramukhi Muvvala, the first transgender woman to contest for an MLA seat in Telangana, went missing on Tuesday morning, a complaint lodged at Banjara Hills PS by her fellow transgender activist stated.

Chandramukhi kicked off her campaign in Goshamahal constituency on Monday morning. She is contesting as a candidate of Bahujan Left Front. After the campaign ended on 26 November evening, Chandramukhi returned to her residence on Road no 4, Banjara Hills, and went to sleep early, her friends testified.

Chandramukhi woke up at 5:45 am after her friend, another transgender person, Sweety, woke her up. However, she went back to sleep, Sweety reported to the police. As per police investigation Chandramukhi’s phone received a call from one Rajesh. At 8:17 am the phone was found switched off.

4. Mother, Son, Stabbed to Death

A 50-year-old woman and her 24-year-old son was brutally murdered, allegedly by their relatives, at Durganagar under Kulsumpura police limits on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Vigneswari and Natraj respectively.

The police suspect that Vigneswari’s stepson Mohan was involved in the incident. Reportedly, there were property disputes between Vigneswari and her relatives. In yet another gory incident, a 48-year-old man, who reportedly had a criminal past, was murdered within the SR Nagar police limits. The deceased K Krishnaiah was assaulted by miscreants at his residence, following which they smashed his head with a stone, the police said. The family members were said to have been sleeping at the time of the incident.

5. Traffic Curbs for Election Rallies

The Hyderabad traffic police have asked commuters to avoid certain routes which fall on or around the routes of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and AICC president Rahul Gandhi's proposed road show in Ameerpet.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar said that Mr Naidu and Mr Gandhi will participate in a road show near Satyam Theatre in Ameerpet from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Wednesday. From there, they will proceed to Royal Sea Hotel in Asif Nagar via Panjagutta-NFCL-Taj Krishna-Care Hospital-Masab Tank-NMDC-Asif Nagar to take part in another road show between 7 pm to 7:45 pm.

Further, the traffic police have also issued traffic advisory in view of BJP national president Amit Shah's road show from Ramnagar Gundu to Fever Hospital in Nallakunta via Vidyanagar from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.
