2. Man Beaten To Death in Rajasthan

A man, suspected to have entered a house with “ill-intentions”, was beaten to death by about half a dozen villagers in Lavera Kalan near Jodhpur on Tuesday, 31 July. Villagers alleged, Rampal, 30, who was an employee of a gas distribution agency, had deliberately entered the house of a woman, who was alone in the house. While Rampal’s father claimed he had gone there on complaint of a gas leak, villagers doubted his intentions and attacked him with sticks.

He had gone to the same house on Tuesday at around midnight, where he was attacked by the family members,” said Dushyant.
