BJP Leader Attacked by Naxals, Condition Critical
Nandlal Mudami, a BJP leader and member of Zila Panchayat was attacked by Naxals in Palnar on Sunday, 28 October. Following the attack, Mudami was admitted to the District Hospital, where his condition was described as ‘critical’.
“He has a major role in bringing people in Palnar to mainstream. This angered naxals. We used to keep getting information that they're planning to strike back. His wife fell ill today, he went there and this happened. Some villagers are involved too. They'll be caught,” SP Dantewada.

DTC Buses to Stay Off Roads on Monday, Employees on Strike
Several buses of the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) are expected to stay off the roads on Monday, 29 October, as various employees of the corporation are planning to go on strike, despite the Delhi government’s warning with the imposition of the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA), which prevents them from agitating for the upcoming six months.

Man Shot, Robbed by 2 Unidentified Gunmen
Two unidentified, bike-borne men shot a pharmacy firm employee and stole his motorbike near Kalkaji Mandir Flyover in southeast Delhi, police said Sunday, 28 October.
The incident took place on Saturday, 27 October, when the victim was returning home on his motorcycle from his office in Noida. The victim took the Okhla route as he had to give a bag to one of his friends in the area, they added.
