A new political crisis has begun in Karnataka after two Independent MLAs withdrew their support from the Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition. This comes a day after the ruling coalition accused the BJP of trying to poach their MLAs. In what has been termed ‘Operation Lotus 3.0,’ the BJP has been accused of trying to destabilise the state government before the general elections.
