An FIR has been registered at Odisha’s Mangalabag police station against four male students for allegedly ragging and harassing a girl during and after a screening of ‘Kaabil’.
The girl, a fourth year MBBS student of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, registered the FIR against four senior students of the college on Thursday.
The incident occurred at a screening of the Hrithik Roshan-starrer at a theatre in Cuttack on Wednesday.
According to the girl, the accused made lewd remarks during a rape scene in the movie and that they harassed her when she objected to their comments.
The student also said that the accused rushed to her during the interval to harass her. She said that she had apologised to the four because they were her seniors.
Later they called all of our batch to the auditorium of the college and harassed me and my friends. They did not let us go despite apologising to them.
She also alleged that this was not an isolated incident.
Cases have been registered under Sec 341, 294, 354, 509, 34 of IPC against the four male students.
