In a shocking incident, a man from Jharkhand beheaded his wife after he suspected her of having an an extra-marital affair with another man. Following this, he surrendered in a court while carrying his deceased wife's severed head in a bag.
A New Indian Express report said that Bhuban Mardi, 38, got into an argument with his wife Churamani Mardi on Sunday night, in a village near Ghatshila district.
“He was heading to court to surrender. We had been tipped off about the killing, and found the woman’s body in a paddy field near her house. The man was arrested as he was walking on National Highway 33,” The New Indian Express quoted Sanjiv Besra, the DSP of Ghatshila.
The body has been sent for autopsy. The neighbours informed police that the couple had been quarrelling in the past few weeks.
