The Chennai Press Club has received an anonymous letter, ending with the acronym “ISIS”, sending out a warning about killing 10 Rashtriya Swamsevak Sangh (RSS) members and also carrying out serial bomb blasts in the city by April 24.
Confirming the receipt of the warning letter, a press club official stated that the letter had been handed over to police.

A similar letter is said to have been received at the office of Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu.
An investigation has now been launched to look into the matter.
The letter comes following the arrest of former Al-Umma activist Mannady Abdullah in connection with the murder of a Hindu Munnani functionary, last year.
Several Muslim parties and organisations had also condemned the arrest.
