A video has been released, in which the personnel of the Indo Tibetian Border Police (ITBP) are performing the Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) and a series of other Yoga asanas (postures), at an altitude of 18,000 feet in Ladakh.

The demonstration comes ahead of the 5th International Day Yoga Day, which is celebrated annually on 21 June.

The ITBP is a paramilitary force under the central government which is incharge of patrolling India’s northern borders and maintaining peace in the region. It conducted a similar demonstration at the same altitude last year to commemorate the 4th International Yoga Day.
