IISc Bangalore Bags Spot in World’s Top 10 Small Universities

• In a first, the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru bagged the eighth spot among the Times Higher Education Rankings, in the category of ‘Best Small Universities in the World 2017’.
• IISc is the only Indian university in the top 20. The top spot went to California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
• In 2015-16, IISc, a public university, became the first university to be ranked in the top 100.
