2016 is almost here and it brings with it the odd-even traffic plan for Delhiites. Everybody is looking for a way to travel to work, which is convenient and falls within the rules of the plan.
Some companies like Dabur, MTS, Spice Mobility, Woodland, PwC India, Paytm, SRL Diagnostics and Zopper.com are coming up with their own ways to help their employees commute through the 15-day trial period. This could, in turn, reduce the impact of the plan on their own day-to-day operations. These include initiatives like distributing free metro cards, flexible working hours, work from home options, carpooling and shuttle services, according to Hindustan Times.
We are putting together a list of all employees who own cars and two-wheelers, along with their vehicle registration numbers, addresses and contact numbers. This list would be circulated among employees and displayed on intranet to help employees form their own carpool groups according to odd and even days.

PwC will give employees a flexi-work option along with a work from home facility. Canadian outdoor gear brand Woodland, on the other hand, is offering free metro cards and MTS India will be providing shuttle bus service for their employees.
Startups like payment gateway PayU and e-commerce portal Zopper are also undertaking such measures during the odd-even trial period. They will be offering car lease and carpooling facilities.
