Gunmen Fire at Bank Vehicle in Shopian, Two Guards Killed

Two bank guards on 11 December were killed when militants opened fire on their vehicle in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

Security forces have launched a search operation to track down the assailants.

Unidentified gunmen opened fire on a vehicle of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in the Keller area of Shopian this afternoon, resulting in injuries to two security guards.
Police official

The two guards, identified as Tariq Ahmad of Pulwama and Mushtaq Ahmad of Anatnag, succumbed to their injuries at a hospital, police said.
