Centre Should Bring in an Ordinance on Ram Mandir: Vinay Katiyar

Katiyar further alleged that the Congress has been obstructing the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Bajrang Dal Founding President and BJP leader Vinay Katiyar on Saturday, 24 November said the government "can’t do anything" about the Ram temple, since the matter is in the Supreme Court.

Speaking ABP news, Katiyar, however, demanded that the government should bring in an ordinance for the early construction of the Ram temple.

Calling the Congress the ‘biggest hurdle’, Katiyar further alleged that the the grand old party is obstructing the construction of the temple.

Katiyar’s statement comes ahead of separate rallies planned by the Shiv Sena and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Ayodhya, where demands for legislative intervention are expected to reach a fervent pitch.

Earlier, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray's had announced that he will visit the disputed site of Ram Janambhoomi on 24 November, where he will perform a maha aarti on the banks of the Saryu river in Ayodhya.

Meanwhile, saffron outfit VHP said the scheduled ‘Dharam Sabha’ in Ayodhya on 25 November was its “last effort” to clear the hurdles for the construction of a Ram temple in the temple town.
