Girl’s Molestation Video Goes Viral in Meerut, Suspect Arrested

The police said that the primary suspect in the case has been arrested

An online video that began circulating on Friday, 22 March - of a group of men allegedly molesting a schoolgirl- has sparked outrage in UP’s Meerut, the Times of India reported.

An FIR has been filed and one of the primary suspects, Gaurav Kumar, has been arrested. The Times of India also reported that ADG police Meerut zone, Prashant Kumar, has directed police teams in the area to "identify and bring the culprits to book."

The incident occurred near a government-run girls' school in Kithore region in Meerut and the video allegedly shows the young girl being held by the accused, while she struggles to escape.
