A nurse was allegedly looted and gangraped in Ghaziabad's Sihani Gate area, when she was returning from the hospital where she works.
The woman was reportedly dragged into the bushes near NH-58 by the two yet-to-be-identified men, who took turns raping her. The entire incident was filmed by them on her mobile phone, reported Hindustan Times.
She is now undergoing treatment for injuries to her face and other body parts at a private hospital.
According to police report, the incident took place barely 200 metres away from where the woman lives.
The woman noticed that she was being followed by two men. When they stopped next to her, she initially thought they were robbers and handed her phone to them.
This was not the only incident of sexual violence against women in NCR. Another woman was allegedly gangraped in a moving vehicle in Noida Sector 39 on 23 September. A case has been registered and the woman was sent for medical examination.
