“Fighting Problem Effectively”: Pachauri Tells His Team After Sexual Harassment Charges

Facing sexual harassment charges, the TERI chief has reached out assuringly to his colleagues in an email.

TERI chief R K Pachauri today informed his TERI colleagues that “there is undoubtedly a cloud which is causing problems for me personally”, in an email sent out this morning.

Pachauri has been named in an FIR lodged in New Delhi by a lady colleague who had accused him of sexual harassment.

He added “…but I would like to assure colleagues that I am working on fighting this problem effectively.”

The FIR was lodged on Wednesday, but Pachauri received interim relief against arrest on Thursday from the Delhi High Court enabling him to approach a lower court for anticipatory bail by February 23.

Pachauri had received the Nobel in 2007 on behalf of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
