FBI Questions Terrorist With Alleged Link to ISIS and JBM

A terror suspect from West Bengal Birbhum district, who allegedly had planned a terrorist attack on US nationals for the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen was questioned in Kolkata by FBI agents at the NIA headquarters, on Thursday.

Mohammad Masiuddin, alias Musa is said to have ties with the alleged master of the terror attack in Dhaka’s Holey Artisan Cafe, Abu Suleiman, The Indian Express reported.

Quoting sources, The Indian Express reported the FBI has been monitoring certain detainees for having alleged links with the Islamic State.

Musa was nabbed by the West Bengal CID and NIA from the Burdwan station, where he arrived on the Vishwabaharti Fast Passenger train from Howrah.

Quoting sources, The Indian Express reported:

A resident of Labhpur in Birbhum, Musa is suspected to have agreed to target US nationals residing in India under the instructions of JMB leader Abu Suleiman, who is still at large. The FBI wanted to interrogate him after getting leads about this from the NIA.

Musa had told his interrogators that he contacted Abu Suleimman through Facebook.

He is also said to be fluent in at least seven languages, and have been in touch with members of JBM and ISIS through social media.
